I miss when Gap was cool.
Not only were their ads amazing, but the whole 'lifestyle' appealed to so many.
The last Gap ad I saw was for Christmas with Common rapping on a gold 'G' and it was so uncreative and tacky, that it didn't fit the proper image of Gap. Now I'm not even a shopper of Gap all that much, in fact I've only gone in when I've had time to kill or I had a gift card, but I feel as though they don't know who their target audience is.
Their Christmas ads from years back were beyond choice. Michel Gondry directed a few of them, and I remember them to this day. One of my favorites is the one below this text. That's when Old Navy and The Gap were awesome and you wanted to shop there. Now, well I don't know, I haven't been to them in ages.
